As a child, I was captivated by the live concert experience and eventually worked my way from accompanying school assemblies to DIY floor shows to the local midsize venue. A quiet kid and a good student, the stage was a place to cut loose and be performative.
My high school band borrowed my dad's minivan for our first run out of state. We got into a minor accident on I-95 and had to cancel the shows. Undeterred, we ended up touring the country a few times, making some records and fully realizing our own sound. It was a special and unforgettable education.
I kept pulling at that creative thread, playing on albums and starting new projects, consistently holding down jobs at the finest NYC dining establishments. I've DJ'd weddings, created playlists for covert celebrity engagements and Michelin-starred service, scored comedic web series, licensed original music to major networks and co-founded my own record label and artist collective. I've interviewed musical luminaries and started an ongoing conversation series about the state of creatives' pandemic-era mental health. Most recently, I started a band with my 3-year-old daughter.
